iOS 13 Beta Release Date and Supported Devices

iOS 13 – the operating system for the new generation of iPhone, iPad and iPod touch is under active development. Despite the fact that the release date of iOS 13 beta release date – june 2019, there is already a lot of information about the upcoming update. In this article, we collected all the reliable information about the update and told us what will be new in iOS 13 and which devices the firmware will support.

iOS 13 Beta Release Date – June 2019

The month of the announcement of each new version of iOS is known in advance. Apple traditionally introduces new firmware at the WWDC Developer Conference, which takes place in June.

In the case of iOS 13 beta release date, no changes are expected in Apple’s standard scheme. iOS 13 beta will be presented at the WWDC 2019 conference, which will be held in the first half of June. The official announcement of the WWDC 2019 will be held at the end of May 2019.

Moreover, we predicted the most likely date for the presentation of iOS 13 beta, based on the dates of the WWDC conference in previous years. Apple typically hosts a WWDC conference on the first Monday of June. If in 2019 the company does not change itself, then iOS 13 beta will be presented on June 3.

The second likely presentation date is the second Monday of June, which is also sometimes chosen for the WWDC conference. Thus, iOS 13 can also be presented on June 10th.

What’s new in iOS 13

iOS 13 will be a truly major update for the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch with many innovations. Insiders and well-known developers even predict that iOS 13 will turn out to be the largest update of Apple’s mobile OS after iOS 7.

And this really has the prerequisites. Back in January 2018, the proven sources of the authoritative edition of Bloomberg visited the secret meeting of Tim Cook and the leading developers of Apple. At this meeting, the future of iOS was decided.

The need to determine the future development of iOS arose because of the sad position of iOS 11 and tens of thousands of negative reviews about the firmware from customers. Then Tim Cook and the team decided to postpone the key innovations of iOS 12 until 2019 – until iOS 13. In iOS 12, as you know, it was decided to focus on increasing work speed and stability. By the way, it turned out – iOS 12 is recognized as one of the most stable and fast iPhone firmware of all time.

What are the “key” deferred innovations in question? Sources Bloomberg managed to find out them, which is why the list of expected changes iOS 13 is very large.

Updated home screen

One of the main and, most definitely, the most noticeable innovations of iOS 13 will be the updated home screen. How exactly the screen changes is unknown – Bloomberg sources have not seen screenshots, they just heard that there will be an update.

In this regard, you can expect anything. The experts have a lot of assumptions and, perhaps, the most interesting is the forecast of the appearance on the screen of the iPhone and iPad extensions in the style of Apple Watch. We are talking about small but useful widgets that can be placed both on the main screen and on the lock screen. However, once again we note that this is only a guess.

Official information from trusted sources is very scarce – in iOS 13 the main screen will be updated. What specifically to expect, how large-scale changes will be – all this is still under a veil of secrecy.

Dark Mode (Dark Mode)

The long-awaited dark mode for the iPhone and iPad is not predicted for the first year. Before the release of virtually every new version of iOS rumors about Apple’s plans to finally implement the nightly theme appear. But every time the rumors remain only rumors.

In the case of iOS 13, the situation is different. First of all, the developers found in the iOS 12 code a lot of references to the dark mode. Various identifiers that have not been in iOS 11 and previous versions point to the upcoming innovation.

But the main find, directly hinting at the possible appearance of a dark mode in iOS 13, was made by developer Steve Troton-Smith Troton. He discovered new screenshots of the Xcode 10 development environment, which depict iPhone applications with a dark mode. As it turned out, the screenshots were accidentally “leaked” by Apple itself. A 30-second video appeared in the Mac App Store application API, demonstrating the capabilities of the new version of Xcode 10. Apple did not close access to it, with the result that the video got to the developer.

And, of course, for Apple it would be just logical to create a dark mode in iOS 13. First, the innovation would bring tangible benefits to the iPhone with OLED displays, which by the end of 2019, Apple will have five pieces. And secondly, a dark mode in iOS would bring the system to a single view with macOS, in which Dark Mode already exists.

New photo search

The same sources of Bloomberg promised that in iOS 13 there will be an improved search for photos in the application “Photo”. According to insiders, Apple has developed an unusual “smart” search that allows you to find any photo even in a huge library in a matter of seconds.
